Content and Process Development to Optimize Performance and Compliance

With ever tightening budgets, training and compliance are usually the first casualties of any budget crunch. However, training and compliance are always the first and highest areas of risk exposure to any company. TSG-HR has developed a Learning Management System (LMS) to allow large and mid-sized businesses the ability to train, test, and track their global or multi-site employee base from the main office, thus saving thousands to millions in duplicated work, unnecessary travel, and legal costs.

How:
TSG-HR develops the LMS content for our clients so that the average employee can read, comprehend, and retain very complex, usually confusing language found in most company regulatory documents. TSG-HR works closely with our clients to customize the content. This allows the employees to relate to the information and examples outlined in the testing.

Process:

  1. Review current documentation and process
  2. Break the information down into smaller, more understandable modules
  3. Develop questions and real life scenarios from the company's experiences and information highlighted in each module
  4. Build a web-based platform which will house each module and test questions
  5. Set standards for pass fail (70% or 100% etc.)
  6. Build an active tracking program to follow each employee's success, failure or retest needs
  7. Assign each employee to relevant information modules
  8. Train client on administrative functions
  9. Launch

Specialized Learning Areas

Federal Building Compliance:

TSG-HR has worked with a building contractor who constructs US buildings, globally, for the U.S. Federal government. The Code of Conduct every federal contractor must read and sign is 92 pages long. Both TSG-HR and their Corporate Compliance Director realized the "Code of Conduct" was a heavy paper weight that few in the company ever used, so they called TSG-HR.

TSG-HR collaborated with the Corporate Compliance Director and converted the manual into 16 easy to read, easy to understand, more employee-friendly modules. Additionally, rather than having to understand every aspect of the code, the supervisor assigns only the sections of the code that apply to each employee based on their title, thereby making the information more retainable for the employee. The employee is tested for understanding after each module and their results are tracked in our client's database. When modifications are needed, TSG-HR makes the changes, then a "retest" notification is sent to those employees who are "assigned" that module or modules. A notification is sent to each supervisor if the employee does not take, retake, or pass the test after a designated period of time, automatically. All information is secure and is anticipated to save our client approximately $320,000 (U.S.) in time and travel in the first year.

HR Manuals:

TSG-HR will take your HR manual and make it relatable for each employee. TSG-HR will develop company specific questions utilizing your real life examples which will test each associate's understanding of each module. This provides the company greater risk mitigation and eliminates the "I did not know" factor.

TSG-HR is dedicated to assuring all associates go home with all parts working. TSG-HR will build a web-based program to fit your company's specific needs, and then test each employee to assure understanding. TSG-HR has the ability to embed pictures and video segments into the LMS so that the associates can read and see what it is they must know to do their job in a safe and orderly manner.
